I love working with clay because it is so flexible as a material and produces pieces with gorgeous colours and textures. It is a real challenge to make delicate, intricate pieces as they are so fragile, but of course this is all part of the appeal!

Using white earthenware clay I create forms by hand which are bisque fired and then glazed. Often I apply multiple layers of decoration and textured glazes.

All pieces are hand painted and undergo at least 2 or 3 firings. An average piece can take up to a week to complete (including firing times).
